Founded in 1989, Gordon Mitchell Contractors (GMC) has proudly served clients across the North East of Scotland for more than 37 years. What began as a family-run business has grown into one of the region’s most respected building contractors, delivering high-quality residential, commercial and specialist construction projects throughout Deeside and beyond.
From the beginning, Gordon Mitchell has been inspired by the rich architectural heritage of Royal Deeside. By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern construction methods and innovative thinking, the company has built a reputation for delivering exceptional workmanship across everything from the careful restoration of historic buildings to bespoke new homes and commercial developments.
Despite its continued growth, Gordon Mitchell Contractors remains firmly rooted in the family values on which it was founded. Integrity, honesty, quality workmanship and attention to detail continue to underpin every project, while ongoing investment in people, technology and in-house timber frame manufacturing ensures the business continues to build for the future while preserving the standards that have defined GMC for more than three decades.
At Gordon Mitchell Contractors, every project is approached with the same commitment to quality, regardless of its size, complexity, or value. Whether delivering bespoke homes, heritage restorations, commercial developments, or public sector projects, our focus remains the same — exceptional workmanship, honest communication, and lasting value.
Since 1989, integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail have underpinned everything we do. We work collaboratively with our clients, architects, consultants, and supply chain partners to ensure every project is delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest possible standard.
